The brief was to provide a purpose built traditional home and guesthouse on the grounds of an existing farm that would accommodate and adapt to the demands of a modern family.
A new 5-bedroom house has been built incorporating a gym/steam & sauna and brick bespoke wine cellar. The grounds have been landscaped and include Tennis court and swimming Pool.
The new house has been painstakingly built using locally sourced stonework and materials and blends into the landscape as viewed from across the estuary. The overall approach has been one of continual attention to detail and the house provides a understated backdrop to the clients own elegant style of decoration and fittings.
Spencer was the project architect and Louise was the interior designer for MacKenzie Wheeler Architects. Particular credit for this project is due to the commitment of the Client and the contractor, Terry Harris & Sons.
